Answering the Question ‘I.T. professionals: I need your input please.?’

Posted on | December 25, 2011 | No Comments

Here’s a good question from Caesar Nero with an even better answer, enjoy:

I want to become a Network Engineer so I went to college for Network & Communications (general I.T. degree) and after graduation all I could find was a job at a helpdesk answering phones for employees w/ computer issues. I hated it because I’m a hands-on person but the company had a good reputation for advancing employees into specialist positions. I held in there for 2 years but got laid off last year because management wanted to save $ by offshoring and outsourcing the helpdesk and desktop services departments. Please note that the network engineers and I.T. specialists of the company were not impressed w/ my degree, most found it humorous because they started their careers out of high school w/ helpdesk or desktop services until they were made junior engineers; they then worked on getting their MCSE or equivalent certs & advanced quickly afterwards.I have I.T. certifications (CCNA and MCP) but am having difficulty finding a position that will allow me to utilize them because the current job postings want a minimum 5 years OTJ experience w/ the certs so I have not been getting replies to resumes.What is going on in the industry? How can I break into a position as a network engineer?

Answer: I am so sick of this question: “I went to a trade school for IT or CCNA or MCP and do not know how find work. boo hoo what should I do?????”All of you who ask this question have your own sob stories for not finding work and come HERE for answers? WAKE UP!!! Here is your answer: The problem is YOU and not the profession! If you have a desire to work in ANY chosen profession then you must start by getting off yourass!STOP MAKING EXCUSES!STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF!STOP BLAMING OTHERS!

Tops Tips To Develop Leadership And Success In Network Marketing

Posted on | December 17, 2011 | No Comments

Network marketing offers different things to different people. For some folks, it offers a unique and exhilarating experience in an industry that is exciting and has the potential to change lives. For others, it is simply how they pay their bills. If you want to bring in the income you need, or change your life completely, put in time and effort and stay focused because network marketing holds the key to many doors. Here are a few tips and ideas to help you find what you are looking for;

  • One piece of network marketing advice that is repeated everywhere, but is so important that it must be mentioned is that you must have clear goals set for yourself. You want to have reachable goals if you are going to be successful in internet marketing, no matter what stage of your campaign you are currently at. Focusing on these goals will keep you dedicated and striving for success.
  • Building a website is a great idea for network marketing, but even using social networking sites is a start. You can have a social network site, as well as your own website and blog, to really enhance your communication outreach. Think of the internet as a community you have to establish a presence in. An active, visually appealing blog will aid in increasing your size as well.
  • Pattern your strategy off of successful role models’ actions. Analyze what people in your up-line, and the best performers in your organization have been doing. Determine what makes them successful, and create strategies based on what they have been doing. Making these people your role models will help you on your journey to the top. Learn from your mistakes, but also learn from success that other people have.
  • A company who specializes in outsourcing is something to consider to help you with network marketing. This is an especially good option if you don’t have the time or workforce to handle these issues yourself. Outsourcing allows you to spend your time dealing with other important business and gives you fast results.
  • When you’re engaged in network marketing, it’s imperative that you are able to visualize success as you define it. It is important to note that your success is directly related to your network size. Using positive visualization is effective for great network marketing.
  • You need to have a deep understanding of the product which you are promoting. You can’t invoke enthusiasm into others about a product if you don’t genuinely hold those feelings of enthusiasm yourself. This is very important when it comes to network marketing; you need to be happy about everything you do in work.
  • Try to think of it as helping people out by providing them with what they are searching for or needing, not that you are pushing a product on them. Rather than focusing on what is great about your product, focus on how it can help a person with a problem they may have. This brings people in and sells a product.
  • Using many types of social connections and media can help you market your products and ideas without hitting a snag. There are always upstarts coming onto the Internet scene who want to make their brand a household name. With so much competition, it is those that are knowledgeable with these tips that survive in a dog-eat-dog market.
